Cale Thomas Massage & Musculoskeletal Therapist
We are excited to welcome Cale Thomas to the Niggles & Knots team in August 2016. Cale is a very experienced musculoskeletal therapist trained a wide variety of remedial massage and musculoskeletal techniques. Cale grew up surrounded by family interested in massage and natural therapies so whilst he started studying in other areas, it was only natural that he ended up completing the degree in Musculoskeletal Therapy in 2010. He spent several years practicing at well known musculoskeletal therapy clinic Mobilise before he joined us here at Niggles & Knots.
Cale’s degree incorporated training in Traditional Chinese Massage, and he currently enjoys teaching courses in this area at the Endeavour College of Natural Health when he is not treating. He will incorporate a combination of these relaxing rocking techniques with swedish massage, remedial therapy, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretches, muscle energy techniques and light joint mobilisations in his treatments to promote a state of ease in the body while also providing targeted, effective pain relief. He enjoys using an holistic approach to therapy, focussing on guiding the bodys overall biomechanics to a more normal resting state to relieve musculoskeletal pain.
Cale has worked with people from all walks of life, including busy, stressed office workers, students, lawyers and barristers, athletes competing in iron man competitions, triathlons and’ultra marathons, footballers, cricketers, soccer, tennis and squash players, post operation rehabilitation patients, sufferers of debilitating conditions such as scoliosis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. He’s had experience with treating a number of conditions, including lumbar disc bulges, sciatica, rotator cuff pathologies, bursitis of the shoulders and hips, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, patella tracking issues, plantar fasciitis, anterior and posterior compartment syndromes to name a few.
